More and more production
companies are discovering Addington Palace's potential as a
location for film, video and television recording.
The White House, No.10
Downing Street, Saddam Hussein's
residence, a classically elegant ballroom,
a casino... the rooms in the palace have been transformed
to create them all.
From music videos for Girls Aloud to historical dramas such as Churchill at War, a follow-up to critically acclaimed Shadowlands, Addington Palace is an adaptable venue with on-site parking for large unit bases.
Among the regular visitors to the
palace are such popular series as The Bill, Footballers
Wives, Family Affairs and Bremner, Bird
and Fortune.
"Just
a quick note to thank you and your colleagues for all
your help and co-operation for our location shoot on
Top Ten TV: Bitches. That the day passed without a
hitch was in no small part due to the laid-back professionalism
of all the people at Addington Palace, and no doubt
to the groundwork you put in beforehand. I thought
the Palace looked magnificent (and just as good on
camera) and it was a very 'user friendly' environment
to work in. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as
a location to other production companies and I hope
that we get the opportunity to film there again soon."
