About

Zani is well known in the world of contemporary art and her artwork is in many private and public collections, including the Macedonian embassy in London. Addington Palace has a permanent exhibition of Zani’s artwork, which can be found all around the venue – In various rooms in the Palace, gracing the hallways in our Country Club (Health and Beauty) and in our numerous on-site accommodation. Her paintings are popular amongst our customers for their wedding gift list. Zani’s unique style, experimenting with acrylic and a range of unusual materials contribute to her artworks distinguished features and form.
The venue looked stunning, both inside and out. Despite the freezing temperatures, our photographer for the day, Andrew Moore, managed to capture this wonderful photo of the Palace on Trevor the Drone!

Zani Artist 50th Birthday

A lot of preparation went into the party, particularly from Zani herself. Zani created the artistic trees, as well as the colourful frame to display her birthday cards. She also decorated each individual jar used for the floral displays and floral wallpaper on the party wall(which she also arranged!) These all looked beautiful and reflected Zani’s vibrant personality and love of art perfectly as well as emphasising the grandeur of the Palace.

Family and friends from all over Europe arrived to celebrate Zani’s birthday. Many stayed in our luxury on-site accommodation, just a stone’s throw away from the Palace.
There was champagne and canapés galore as guests mingled in the exquisite Great Hall.

The relaxed tone of the party continued into the evening, where we used the Dining Room and Music Room to serve the buffet. There was no formal table setting or seating plan, giving guests the freedom to sit where they liked.
Zani’s artistic and vintage style could even be seen in the way the cutlery was presented!

While our guests were tucking into the buffet food, our DJ for the night, True Sound & Hire, transformed the Great Hall from daytime to night-time, ready for guests to dance the night away.

As the disco got underway, it was time for the first surprise of the night for Zani. Having successfully convinced Zani that she would not be getting a cake for her birthday party, you can imagine her surprise when she saw the amazing cake her son carried out…!

Zani was so thrilled with the cake, but little did she know that she had another surprise still to come…
Mark Lincoln from Firework Store Ltd was ready for our signal once Zani had blown out her candles – Then it was time for the amazing firework display! It may have been minus temperatures outside, but everyone was very happy to stand out and admire the fireworks which were really impressive.

A big thank you to our suppliers for helping us put together an unforgettable party – Andrew Moore for his photography and videography, True Sound & Hire for the excellent music and lighting that had everyone up on the dancefloor, and Mark Lincoln for the amazing firework display!
Last but by no means least, thank you to Zani for all her creative ideas and artistic input into the day. Happy birthday, Zani!
